Encoding problem
silverpurple posted 2008 May 21 10:21
Hi,

I'm having a problem with encoding files, it's probably just me missing something obvious but I'm completely stuck - I'm just trying to burn subtitles onto an avi, and the progress window doesn't indicate anything particularly abnormal happening (does say it's skipping two frames but that's it) - but then the file gets to 100% and I can't find even find it to open it - it's not in the folder it was supposed to save into, or anywhere on my hard drive. I've used ffmpegx before and never had any probs, so this is driving me batty!

The only other thing is, the play and preview functions aren't working. The preview button doesn't do anything, and play brings up mplayer for a moment but then it crashes. Not sure if this is connected??

Please save my sanity!! :)

Click on the blue "i" in the Progress pane. That'll bring up a logfile with a bunch of information that may give you a clue. Post an excerpt here, and someone can help decipher it, if it isn't clear to you.
