Empty file when converting vcd (.dat) format to ipod (mpeg4)

Hi all,

i had this report after trying to convert a vcd format to ipod format... the target file is empty

Your source file has the audio stream (#0.0) mapped before the video stream (#0.1). This is reverse from what the ffmpeg engine expects. You may fix this "Codec type mismatch for mapping"-error by indicating that the streams are reversed. To do so, check the "Invert mapping" checkbox in the audio tab.

I ought to thank, too.

Just downloaded ffmpegX to convert from VOB to DV. Got empty files as result and no error message. Browsed the web to find a solution. Here I found it! It was far from obvious to me what the problem could be. BTW, would assume that an application like ffmepeg should be able to detect the ordering of video and audio itself?? :)
