| Which one among the enormous number of DVD video burner programs for my 5 years old laptop WinXP SP3 with Internet Explorer 7? I just uninstalled Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 which is huge (> 600MB) and will not work with IE7. Basically I only need a burner program, I use VideoRedo and Movica for authoring. I would not mind some editing tools though, provided it does not reencode files when joining clips. My videos are downloaded from internet to my HD, mostly MPEG, some WMV or AVI
I just downloaded Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 which will not import videos unless "prepared", ie only Video_TS. Any suggestions to save me a lot of trial and error? Or should I keep Ashampoo and install an editing tool to extract Video_TS? |

| If you are just asking about a burning program, ImgBurn is highly recommended around here.
But I suspect you want a bit more. If you need a all-in-one converter program to output as a DVD format, ConvertXToDVD (Payware), or FAVC (Freeware) are popular. For editors, maybe the payware VideoReDo or MPEG-VCR for simple MPEG edits. If you need a authoring program, GUI for dvdauthor is freeware. |

| Thank You redwudz for quick answer.
I will try ImgBurn for starters, I suppose there will be no conflict installing this while keeping Ashampoo Burning Studio or should I remove that first? |

| I don't think they will interfere, but I haven't used Ashampoo. ImgBurn is a small program, so not too much to install. |
