DVD Cover Templates !

MLOR posted 2006 Mar 25 11:43
I am trying to obtain a program where I can use set templates to make exact size covers for DVD's. The standard DVD size .....using full wrap around covers with a title spine.

A program for the above would make printing DVD covers so much easier. I am tired of having to trim everything to fit once I have printed the cover.

Any help is appreciated as always.

Thanks,

MLOR.

I use this one:

..open it in Image Composer...lay my artwork overtop then save as....whatever.
Then print with a free program called Multicoverprint.
I'm pretty sure you can still find it with a Google search. It prints to the exact size but them again I use A4 paper.

MediaFace 4.2 has very good templates prints perfect everytime, or Nero cover designer only problem with Nero is that you have to pull the image to fit the template everytime.

I like DVD CoverPrint from North Cardinal software. Costs around $13 US but does a bang up job, every time.

Make that 3 votes i paid for it as well. i little problem that i had due to lack of knowldge is when printing with thi software there is a high quality setting. if you use glossy photo paper from its print menu it never gives me the option to tell the printer im using glossy paper therefore my prints didnt look so good i had to do this
startmenu/controlpanel/right click on my printer and set defaults ie glossy paper etc etc and now they come out much better

Came across this old post. Few observations...
- NorthCardinal.com appears to be gone.
- CoverXP appears to be for CD labels and CD jewel case art. But even then, it's not very intuitive or feature-rich software. Very basic, very Mickey Mouse. No DVD cases or covers that I can see.
- I'm surprised Photobucket kept hech's image that long! They are so unreliable on image hosting.

Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) is the ideal software to create high quality DVD cases.

You can download Photoshop DVD case/cover templates here:

... and more are added all the time.

Hope that helps. :)
