| I want burn movies on CD or DVD to distribute this on main platforms. Video formats are VOB, mpeg2, wmv
I want include Media Player Classic on CD to play the files automatically without installing player. Will this work and how to make this better? |

| Where do the videos come from? For example, VOB seems like an odd choice if you aren't authoring a DVD Video, and where did the VOB come from anyway? Ripped from a commercial DVD?
If you have videos of your own and you want to pick an encoding format for distribution then I'd recommend either encoding them all as MPEG1s, as that can be played by every OS on every PC around at the moment (and can be stored on data CD or data DVD), or encode them as DVD Videos (MPEG2/VOB). Neither would need you to bundle a player - which as a user I'd be rather suspicious about anyway. |

| can i play movies burned on CD or DVD with Media Player Classic burned on that CD(as internal player, so it does not depend on target PC configuration or codecs), on various PCs (cross-platform)? Movie formats are Vob, mpeg2, wmv. Can MPC work directly from CD, and how to configure this? Should I create data CD or data DVD? |

| MPC will run from a CD or DVD and should play back VOB and Mpeg-2 videos. WMV may depend on which variant and what is installed on the target PC, as I don't believe MPC decodes them natively.
Data CD or data DVD really is only dependent on the amount of data you want to store per disc, and whether or not the target machines have at least a DVD Rom drive. |

| what is code to launch WMP from HTML code via Execute() method in extended DOM? Like this?
<a href="javascript:menubox_execute('Player\mplayerc.exe /play Music\my_movie.vob')" hidefocus="true"> |
