disk-at-once writing? |

| Hello,
I've been trying to burn a SVCD with an MPEG2 format I created. I'm actually trying to burn on a DVD-RW/CD-RW drive. Yes, I could just burn on DVD, and I have but in Canada, DVD-R's run at approx. $10.00 each as opposed to a CD-R of $0.80 each. So on my 10-15 min movie clips, I'd prefer to use a CD-R instead of a DVD-R, resulting in SVCD format. Anyhow, I select all that needs to be selected, press go, it does it's thing: "Scanning sequence..."; "Writing CD image file ...". It then stops and gives me error messages: 1. "cannot setup disk-at-once writing for this drive" - (generic-mmc-raw drive). 2. "cannot retrieve disk information, error writing failed" - (generic-mcc drive) and it does this with the other drivers as well, including the default driver. Can anyone help me on this? Could it be because it is a DVD burner? I've burnt audio CD-R's on this drive before. Any help much appreciated. Thanks |
