cutting MPEG frame by frame |

| Hello,
I would like to know of any applications, preferably freeware, which I can use to cut select frames from an MPEG-1 file taken from 2 VCDs and then joined together. I want to get rid of the bit that says "End of Disc 1" and "Disc 2" at the beginning and end of each file, respectively. However, I only want to cut the frames with this text overlayed on the film because there is no audio during this portion. I am going to extract the resulting audio file without any silence in the middle at the join site and use it for another project. As far as I know, TMPEGEnc authoring works 3.0 offers a one frame at a time splice feature in the cut/edit section, but the resulting file cannot be saved...it just becomes one of the tracks in the resulting DVD. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. :) |

| Here's how I did it back in the day:
I used ISOBuster to extract MPEG files then I used VideoStudio to edit and merge. One nice thing about VS is it can output 352x240(288) MPEG-2, it can also save audio clips. |
