Custom firmware? |

| I'm trying to find custom firmware for my Lite-on ihes208 BD-ROM/DVDRW drive. I bought it because every product page said 8X BD-ROM read speed but apparently it only does 6X for Dual Layer. From a google search it seems someone has made firmware to unlock the speed but I was unable to find the firmware itself. Anyone know where I could find it? I'm sure it isn't too difficult to find, I'm just coming up dry for some reason. |

| go to the LITEON FORUM at CDfreaks.com. Opps! They changed their name to "MyCe". Maybe CoDEkING has a firmware for it. I have no clue since I don't own a BD drive.

| All they had was stock firmware, which is newer than my drives firmware (Yet Lite-on has no firmware listed for it at their site). I loaded it in MediaCodeSpeedEdit Tool, checked increase read speed and flashed it. Have yet to test it though. |

| Please update with your results. I have a 208 and was thinking of doing the same thing.

| Haven't had a chance to test it yet, no HDD space right now to do a rip, will update when I free up some space. |
