| Does anyone know of a tool that will convert an entire dvd to an .avi file? I am trying to shrink my dvd'd down to save room on my hard drive. I want to keep all the features of the DVD (menus, extras, chapters, etc.). Thanks for the help.. |

| Do you want a single AVI file with everything in it ? Or a set of AVI files, one for each video on the disc ? |

| PGC.net might rip everything to a single VOB. Try it and see.
Then encode that. |

| You can try disturbed1's suggestion, but nobody can guarantee you that you can truly do what you propose. You'll just have to try it and see. |

| I'll give it a try. My basic need is I have about 700 DVD's laying around and want to put them on a portable hard drive. I wanted to keep the integrity of the dvd's contents in one file less than 1 gb in size. |
