Color is off in MKV videos |
| Xenogear900 posted 2009 Jun 11 10:36 |
| I'm trying to play some MKV videos on my laptop. I tried the K-Lite codec pack, I tried installing the codecs individually, I tried Media Player Classic, and VLC.
The only program I could get to play the MKVs was VLC, and it did so with the color off. So for example, if there was a red flag....you'd see the red shading above the flag. The color was not on key. Please help! |

| Try MPCHC. It has many more built in decoders than MPC. It also includes an MKV reader/splitter. Uninstall K-Lite.
You might also have video overlay problems. Open the same video in two instances of VLC. Does one look good the other messed up? |

| That's a codec / muxer problem.
Did you tried ffdshow and reset all settings? |
