Can't get sound from MPEG in F.C. |

| Hello
I cannot get sound out of my MPEG video files. They were videos shot on a Sony digital Still camera that also does video. For some reason, they have no sound when I import them into Final Cut. I also cannot even import the files into I-movie. It won't allow me to do it. Is there some way I can edit these and have the sound? T in HD :? |

| What audio codec in the mpg file? Identify using mediainfo.
Or try mpeg streamclip to convert the mpg to a format that final cut accepts. |

| Try using MPEG Streamclip (you should already have Apple's MPEG2 codec if you have FCP installed) to convert the MPEG file to Apple Intermediate Codec. This will let you import it into FCP and not introduce any add'l compression artifacts. The audio should also work fine. |
