Hello my friends.

I have a Dvd Philips DVP 5980k that has USB port . I had already plug in this USB port, a standart pen drive and also an external USB 160gb Hard drive I have. it worked fine!

My question is... Am I able to connect this DVD front panel USB port to my PCs USB port and access the files located in my PCs hard disk?

How?

Thxs

:D :D :D

No, USB uses a Host/Client type of connection, you can't hookup two hosts or two clients together. The player's port is a host and the PC's port is a host.

I'm pretty sure that won't work. In order to "stream" directly from the pc you will need a networkable dvd player.

I belive Oppo makes a few that have a network port on them. As always you can stream video to either a ps3 or an xbox 360. I think you can even use orb on the wii for web streaming though I would not recommend the wii as a media player since its very limited in its functionality.
