| I'm looking to buy some new batteries for my camcorder but the cost for manufacturers batteries are pretty high. I'm curious if anyone else has bought 3rd-party or OEM batteries and if they're good. Are there any brands that are good or certain brands to stay away from?
Thanks, J | ||

| I've actually had pretty good luck - and pricing - over the years from different web vendors. Just always make certain of the guarantee, read the website reviews, and try to purchase a higher specification battery than your camcorder came with. | ||

| Well I took the risk and ordered recently thru lajal.com's ebay store. For about AU$50 I picked up TWO 4-hour batteries plus charger for my JVC camcorder. Was delivered in 2 days! I immediately charged the batteries up & tried them out, everything works fine, battery indicator says "240mins". I am very happy - considering just one JVC-brand battery would have set me back $300 or so... | ||

| they are the same...you just pay more for "original" made in china.... :lol:
use ebay, I got a canon oem for 25 and original is about 150.....and it works just fine, and it's like 18 months old already. | ||

That was the main reason I was looking (longer record time). Thanks. J |
