Blu-ray Duplicators
Yangster posted 2008 Aug 06 08:35
Have any of you guys on here found a blu-ray duplicator that works 100%?

I have been experimenting using the Pioneer BDR-202BK drives and an Acard controller but have sent one to a client and they are getting burn errors - as you can appreciate this is not a cheap process when they end up making coasters at £5 a pop!

Any advice most greatfully received.

What do you mean by burn errors? Not all BD-Rs will play on all players you know. Which player does the client have?

PS3 so I am told.

Lets put it this way - I am not convinced the application is totally legal if you know what I am saying.

What application? How and who made the disc with what?

the ps3 has additional information on it's disc which can't be copied therefore the ps3 needs a modchip
like the ps2 couldn't read backups without a mod chip or the ps1

Where do you get the PS3 mod chip?

I didnt think they could chip the PS3 as yet - no doubt someone may have achieved it but if it is anything like as complicated as the new version of the Wii then its almost not worth the hassle.

The at least 50% of the purchasing decision when I went to buy the PS3 was the fact that I would be able to play blu-ray movies on it.
