Baddox' submission "Paul's Reverie" Uploading

Baddox posted 2005 Dec 15 12:27
I am uploading my submission "Paul's Reverie" as we speak. The first time I tried, the wireless dropped, so the small file pauls_reverie.zip is obsolete--I'm uploading pauls_reverie_2nd_try.zip . Unfortunately, I had to use Dr. Divx OSS because my desktop was locked in a friend's house all night, and autogk's betas are unavailable for some reason. Divx 6 seems a bit clunky, there's a couple of frame jumps and stutters, but nothing too bad.

I will be able to re-encode a better version with autogk later, and if the powers that be would wish or allow it, I could upload it sometime later today or tomorrow.

Thanks for hosting this generous contest, I can't wait to see the videos (and the results!)

And with 90 minutes to go until deadline!!! Woo hoo!!! :D Good timing!

90 minutes--is that all? I was thinking I had till 6 pm Central Time (US). Oh well, better this way :-) It's actually been done for about a week, other than the music which we recorded Wednesday. Last minute indeed.

Maybe we still do have several hour to go, I just saw the "10:30" time stamp on your note and subtracted it from 12:00 -- but I'd forgotten that that's 12:00 in ... GMT? Is 12:00 noon or midnight? And in either case, ow many hours is that ahead or behind Pacific time? :|

Seriously I always have to use a calculator to figure out time zone stuff. I made sure to submit mine on the 14th just because I knew I'd have the wrong time-zone otherwise! :D Whenever I travel overseas my body clock gets so screwed up I never know what time it is! :D

My guess is that as long as it's before midnight where you are, it'll still be accepted.

i'm thinking there probably shouldnt be this much of a technicality.. there werent many entries, so we shouldnt make a big deal out of it

if you win, make sure you use some of the money to get drunk with.. :P

Baddox posted 2005 Dec 16 00:15
Ooh, I'm only 18 and don't drink, too bad.
