AppleScript Error _iframeflag is not defined (-2753)

linea posted 2008 Jan 28 23:02
Tried to encode a avi and mov file to flash with a registered version of ffmpegX as I've done many times with ver 0.0.9x and using FLV Duration to install the metadata.
Installed Ver 0.0.9y along with flvtool 2, dropped file into source window chose flv from the drop down menu went to the video menu clicked on "best" in the bitrate calculator window and got the following message
AppleScript Error
The variable _iframeflag is not defined (-2753)
Any thoughts

I'm having the same problems.
Upgraded to leopard, thought I'd upgrade ffmpegX to 0.0.9y, and I'm getting these AppleScript errors when I try to use the bitrate calculator, which is ALL I use ffmpegX for, saves me a lot of guessing and/or math. So I downgraded to 0.0.9x, and I'm getting the same error. By the looks of things on the forum, this error has been around for a while. I thought this was a Leopard issue, but if you're getting the same error on Tiger, then that's probably not the case.

Major please help!
I cannot live without your software!
Ok, I'm exaggerating... still, a wonderful piece of software...
until I broke it :(

it's an issue that is affecting (as far as i've seen reported) OS 10.3-10.5, and both PPC and Intel processors, as well as everything from powerbooks to power macs to imacs. i'm still wondering if it's an across the board type issue that affects everybody who made the upgrade, or if there's anybody out there whose machine set-up isn't affected by it?
