| hi,
im a movie watcher and i like to have the best scenes of my best movies or videos splitted from whole video ... is there a software for splitting almost all video formats (all codecs ...) ? i watch H264 movies, blue ray Iso images, dvd movies, maybe a short 3gp video ... i dont want to re-encode the movie ... just splitting it with same quality and format ... thanks, |

But avidemux supports lots of formats. |

| but it doesnt output the audio correctly ...
what do u have specially for MKV format / H264 Codec ?! |

| There aren't many editors for mkv with h264. avidemux is probably best but it wont work perfect as you have noticed...
Another option would be to use mkvtoolnix to split, but it has not a video interface so you have to type in the time codes where to cut. |

| I just tried mkvtoolnix to split an mkv file in two and once you have figured out the correct time codes (I tried avidemux as it gives the ms but the time codes were not correct so I used vlc) it takes only a few minutes to do the job.
Thank you Baldrick |
