It stops working after a while. Won't read anything at all. But works great up to that point.

Purchased at www.tigerdirect.ca for $53.00 CDN.
This is THE best burner I have ever owned. It really is super fast. Verbatim and Sony discs (16x) burn @ 18x or even 20x in under 5 MINUTES.
CD/DVD Speed results: PI Errors: 40 and PI Errors: 2, Quality Score: 95 (can't help but smile)
All I can say is UNREAL!!! A really good buy for the price. All of the options work well.

Burns as fast as hell 16x+ at 20x in 5.2 mins 16x- at 20 x in 5.7 mins. There are only these brands that will over speed 16x to 20x
16x DVD-R CMC CMC MA-G.AM3
16x DVD-R SONY SONY16-D1
Other disc will do 18x about 5.20 sec
Also smart burn utilities active including o/s over speed and hypertuning they all work together so don't pick one over the other. The only neg is can,t check quality of burn on nero but the disc play great on home dvd players.
purchased at wall mart so calif $44
