Very poor video quality from tuner. Get hum bars. I like entering tv program names when you program your timer. Never been able to burn the last 30 minutes to dvd's on the 6hr mode, get 5 1/2 hours on a 6 hour disk.

I returned one unit after about a week because it makes a noise that comes through the TV speakers. It isn't loud and it can only be heard during a quiet part of a show, but the noise shouldn't exist. This noise sounds like it is coming from the hard drive. Unfortunately, the noise is also burned onto the dvds and can be heard when played through a different dvd player. I tried different combinations of hookups, TVs, even connected it through the stereo and the noise was always there. I exchanged the original unit for another and it had the same problem. I gave up and returned the second unit.
