Very good recorder. I've upgrade to 500GB HDD and works excelent. Recorder can read mp3(lame, vbr - to 320kbit rate) from CD disc, but can't read mp3 from DVD. You can connect this recorder to PC via FireWire port, and grabbing record by video production software(eg. Adobe Premiere, Sony Video...etc).

Fantastic and reliable DVD recorder and player. No problems at all for over 1 year and after burning 200 DVD's (archiving VHS/8mm/MiniDV and FTA stuff)

This dvd recorder is to be thoroughly recommended. It is easy to use, intuative, and produces excellent pictures. It has great variety in quality modes, and works really well in automatic recording mode.

Comments:
This recorder does everything Pioneer claims. Picture quality on playback of commercial media is excellent, recording quality is excellent, as are the editing facilities. My machine will play back DVD-R(W) and DVD+R (not tried DVD+RW) but only write to DVD-R(W). I've used TDK (8x), Philips (4x) and Apple (4x) DVD-R and TDK DVD-RW (4x) all successfully. Plenty of inputs and excellent control of image and sound parameters on each input. Exellent user interface with menus, disk management, disk editing all working smoothly. I wish I could have afforded the 920H-S.

The Pioneer recorder works fine, but the thing I can't understand is that why the two previous users actually believe that +R DL actually work or can be read on this recorder and at least on mind it does not work even when bitsetting on the burner was set to DVD-ROM
