CVD? $150 over 1 year 8 of 10 MP3 long filename Comments: I noticed that my Zenith player had a question mark next to DVD+R and I wanted to set the record straight. I've been burning DVD+Rs for over a year now and they all work well on this player. I wasn't sure how to rate this on a scale of 1 to 10, since the player works fantasticlly, but it doesn't play many of the RW formats, which I use. I would rate the player a 10 as far as what it was designed to do, and an 8 for the capabilities of playing anything.

WMA CVD? $100 N/A 6 of 10 DVD-WMA Comments: Meritline DVD+RW does not work at all. Phillips DVD+RW does work but very unreliable. Disc error reading comes up.

CVD? $90 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: VCD Hack works great! Thanks a lot! I can play VCD's now, on both CD-R and CD-RW media. I couldn't before the hack. Will soon try SVCD, and maybe one day, DVD-R or DVD-RW.

CVD? $150 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: I have just copied my first DVD-Video on a Princo DVD-R with the Pioneer DVR-A04+Nero 5.5.8.2 and it worked great. VCD works as well but you can only fast-forward at X4 so it can be a bit frustrating.

N/A 8 of 10 Comments: After applying the hack for this player, I played a VCD burnt to generic media no problem. I haven't really tried much else on it. I am happy with it so far, since Zenith said it wouldn't play anything except DVD.

CVD? $130 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Out of the box, the player would not recognize VCDs, that work in other players. After applying the VCD hack listed, I found that the player had no problems with VCDs created on CDR, CDRW using VCDEasy. It would not recognize SVCD.

CVD? $130 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Played DVD+RW discs fine that I wrote using HP DVD-100i. However, it will not read DVD+RW discs that have the HP compatibility setting set to Type 2. It would only read Type 1 discs. I have not tried VCD nor SVCD yet. I did find that the USA version played PAL DVDs without any problems!

CVD? $160 N/A 5 of 10 Comments: Nice player, nice looking, good controls, plays DVDs and MP3s excellent, Prog Scan great in case I can ever afford a PG TV, DOESN"T PLAY VCDs. I tried FUJI CDRs with NERO, no luck. I am taking it back and getting the JVC XV-S65GD. I want something that will play anything I put in it.

CVD? $180 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: This DVD Player is great EXCEPT for the fact that a Touchstone DVD title "Bubbleboy" will not work...it loads the preview just fine, but when it attempts to access the MENU screen the DVD Display reads Title 3, and it attemps to start playing at the :10 second mark...the DVD player then goes back to the start of the Previews again! ????? Bizarre!!!! Anyone have a clue about this one? Please drop me a note here...

CVD? $180 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: I kinda wish it would play SVCD's - i bought it under the assumption it did, as it said it played VCD's. Ah well, it's a gerat player regardless. VCD's seem to work fine for me, as do MP3's - I have no problems with those features. Picture quality is superb.

CVD? $180 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: Ok, gave it a second try and finally got VCD's to work. I had to upgrade my NERO to 5.5.6.4. Tried with 4 different CD-R types and they all play fine. BTW, I sent an EMail to Zenith about the VCD issue and the official answer is that this player doesn't play VCDs... at all! Well, mine does. I'm a pleased man ;) Fred

CVD? $180 N/A 5 of 10 Comments: Just got this baby and was told by the salesrep it would play anything I put in it... Put DVD in, it worked. Put commercial VCD bought no the net, it worked. Put MP3 CDR burnt with NERO 5, it worked. But when I put a VCD-R in... no way buddy. I could not get it to play any of my 25 VCD's I burnt with NERO from ISO's I got on the NET. Tried KODAK CD-R 74 min and MEMOREX 80 min... And I bought this machine just for that :( Tried returning it, I was told I didn't use the right software to burn my cd's and to come here to find out how to burn those VCD's correctly. Hope I will find out how. Still looking.
