CVD? $? over 1 year 5 of 10 Comments: Please beware!!!! I hacked this unit successfully to play VCD format using the codes listed here but when playing a normal DVD I found that my component video output no longer works. Now I'm stuck with a player that I'm limited to only S-Video output. Please, if anyone knows the reset code for this unit I'd be eternally greatful. Thanks, Patric

CVD? $125 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: DVDs and Music CDs (with mp3s and without) play perfectly, video and sound quality is great. With VCD hack, it plays VCDs but sound skips constantly.

CVD? $150 N/A 5 of 10 Comments: VCD 2.0 compatibility with remote hack. Posts below list this site - http://www.dvd365.net/ I was unable to get the 2201 hack to work; however, the hack for the 2350 did work. When I tried the hack for the 2201, it turned the startup screen purple and distorted. It would then recognize the VCD and play it - but the video was so distorted I couldn't watch. Since the hack for the 2200, 2201, 2381, 2550, and 5201 is the same, I tried the hack for the 2350 - and it worked!

CVD? $200 N/A 7 of 10 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG MPEGISO Comments: I havent had any problem playing other region disks since the remote control region hack and have just started burning VCD's and playing them on this machine since implementing the remote control VCD hack.(Note this only works with VCD's not SVCD's) Any one know of a macrovision hack?? Keep up the good work guys!

BUT I found this page that "turns on the VCD feature" And it has been playing VCDs ever since. http://www.dvd365.net/ just select Zenith DVD2201 It also says this code turns on region free, but I don't have a DVD from another region to test it.

CVD? $125 N/A 8 of 10 DivX Comments: I bought this DVD at circuit city last year, before I knew anything about vcd or burning dvd's, after getting into making vcd's I found a remote control hack on this page that aloud my player to play vcd 2.0, it does not support svcd or vcd 1.1 however it fits my needs. I have also tested the player with various dvd+r/rw and it has not failed yet. The macrovision remote control hack has also aloud me to record dvd to vhs which comes in very handy sometimes all in all it's a good buy
