CVD? $150 N/A 8 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD Comments: Model 715, A2 firmware upgrade done. Great compatibility on DVD’s including Disney, the Matrix etc Very good picture quality. Even home made XSVCD (Full MPEG2 variable bitrate, avr. 5 Mb/sec) works great. Using NERO 5.5.5.1, SVCD profile with some changes, see XSVCD tutorial at http://web.tiscali.it/digivideoweb/guidaxvcdediting3gb.htm The home page to find more on SVCD/XSVCD etc, is http://web.tiscali.it/digivideoweb/homegb.htm VCD, MP3 etc also works fine. Great DVD, VCD, SVCD, XSVCD, MP3 player performing better than many > $500 brand players

CVD? $150 N/A 3 of 10 Comments: I was quite happy with this player until the drive died just 6 month after purchase. Fortunately it's an IDE, so I will replace it soon with a cheap new DVD-ROM. Has some nice details, and I used it a lot as a MP3 player.

N/A No rating Comments: It doesnt play CDI, as stated before here. But with a new firmware (Monyka), it can play VOB-files just burnt on a normal CDR. You dont even have to put it in miniDVD format. It can also play plain .mpg, .ac3, .mp3 and .mp2 files. With the new firmware there is a explorer like interface to all the files on a cdr. But beware! You need a Yamakawa with ESS Chipset, so one without scart connector.

N/A No rating Comments: I think this Dvd player is one of the best one. It costs 199 $ und can play everything that is on any cdr. DVD - CD - CDI- VCD - SVCD - MP3 everything. :-} And the best Landcodefree. You can update the rom over the Internet. (Need a Burner)
