CVD? $? over 1 year 3 of 10 Comments: I'm using dvd writer AOPEN DUW1616/ARR. Rip a DVD and write to DVD+R successfully. Will not play on Yamaha DV C6280 but will play on my Sony player SLV-D300P.

CVD? $400 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: After reading other comments I wasn't so sure I had a good unit even after much cash outlay. BUT>>> I have had good luck SO far...I bought a cendyne dvd burner cdicd00106, essentially a pioneer dvr-104 and using dvd decrypter to rip a dvd because of encryption, then burn back directly from it to blank K-hypermedia 4.7 blank dvd-r It plays no problem.Granted this is the first try and it was a dvd that fit on the blank media(movie, Dead Again). it is a dvd-r not a dvd+r like someone else said they had good luck with. Yamahaa themselves said when I called them , that no copied dvd's would play. Will keep you posted. am learning as i go... PS. it took about an hour to burn... Zack

N/A 9 of 10 Comments: I have been able to record and play music CD's and VCD's using Digital Media CD-R's sold at Circuit City.

N/A 6 of 10 Comments: So far we have found that only Sony multi speed CD-RW 650 will work with this player. We tested three different types of Memorex, including the platinum, as well as CompUSA brand CD-RW's and none worked.
