CVD? $200 over 1 year 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG DivX Comments: Pretty good DVD - DivX player from Vestel. Fisrt of its kind in Turkey. Software can be updated. Before you could do it over the net by downloading the ROM but now you need to take it in to a dealer to have it installed (Vestel messed up with ROM names I think. The download would have 3 ROMS and you would have to know the name of your ROM to install the correct one. Probably got a lof of customer complaints) Doesnt recognize DVD-R media but does recognize DVD+R. I burnt 6 DivX movies as data on a DVD+R and I can play them just like as if it they are on regular CD-Rs. Funny to see 6 movies on the menu ...

CVD? $150 240 days 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG DVD-MP3 DivX Comments: I bought this player 8 months ago costed 150$. My first aim is to watch the movies encoded in mpeg4 format, at this view vestel can satisfy my wishes. However , some divx/xvid movies can not be played since QPEL is not supported , additionally movies encoded in xvid1.01 and newer are played with problems. Divx subtitles fonts are thin and in white color, a little hard to see and cannot be pulled down to desired place . Long file names are supported up to 8 charecters. Considering Turkey market some can say that this player could be cheaper. The company published 3 new firmware upgrades during this 8 months. As a result I can rate it in 7/10
