CVD? $? 7 days 8 of 10 Comments: Once you use the hack to decode this dvd player to region free, it does play VCD's as well. I know it's weird, but it worked for me. I have a bunch of european dvd's and VCD's and once decoded, everything worked...

CVD? $300 7 days No rating Comments: Bought this at Walmart for the trip to Florida. Ad says Durabrand but player says Venturer. Would give invalid disc for one out of every four DVD-R disc that I had archived with DVD XCopy. So I bought some DVD+R blanks and tried them. Some of them aren't recognized either. A lot of the discs that do play will stutter and/or just freeze up eventually. Either this is a defective player or the whole brand/model is crap.

Doesn't play VCD in any format, and doesn't like DVD-R too much.
