CVD? $? over 1 year 9 of 10 Comments: Have used this player for over 3 years with no problems, the convenience of being able to load/unload discs in the changer while watching a movie is a great feature. I was a little worried that nobody has reported success with DVD+R media in this player, but decided to try some RiData 4x DVD+R's (RICOHJPN R01) in my DVDRW drive (LiteOn SOHW-812S flashed to 832S with CG5G firmware), using the BitSetting function in DVDDecrypter to set Booktype to DVD-ROM. I'm pleased to report that this player has worked flawlessly with this DVD+R media.

That's okay with me ,since dvd-r is getting cheaper.very good video quality also.

N/A 5 of 10 Comments: Got it as gift some years ago. I am happy that it plays DVD-R media, but nothing else but DVDs. Picture quality is perfect.

CVD? $300 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: This unit, the SD-4109X does play VCDs, just not burned VCDs. You have to buy the silver bottom VCDs in order to use the VCD player on this unit... Unit is very nice, I just wish it could play CDRs...I guess that is what my Raite is for :)

CVD? $300 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: I burned a VCD on a cd-rw and it did not work. I contacted Toshiba via email and asked them which cd-r or cd-rw would work on the Toshiba sd-4109x... N/A No rating Comments: "Did not work with Mr. Platinum silver/green CDRs or PNY silver/silver CDRs. Tested this one in the store." He says it doesnt play cdrs which is true but it lists that it does play cdrws, I have tried both but neither works. CDR Brand - 74min Memorex CDRW Brand - 74min Memorex Platinum Neither of these worked. If you know of a different brand of cdr/cdrw that works please tell. Tavz@hotmail.com
