It can do quite a bit more than the box or manual states. This player will also play PAL discs even though the manual specifically says that it cannot.

CVD? $60 14 days 8 of 10 DivX XviD Comments: I only have one DVD+R DL disc. The player played it, but I had no menu for some weird reason, just the links appearing on the DVD player menu screen. The box for the player only mentions DVD-R/RW discs, but I've tried +R/RW discs and they played fine. Pressed Audio CD's played fine, I have not tried any burned CD's as of yet. A decent player for a decent price $56 at Best Buy.
