I also burnt DVD-RW Mirror x2.

The same discs play on the 220E Any advice?

If you have problems playing your DVD+R media on your standalone player then we advice you to contact the manufacture of this player and ask them to deblock this mediatype on your player"

N/A 8 of 10 MP3 long filename Comments: Hello, tested in France. DVD player: Toshiba SD210E bought in 2001. (original firmware) DVD writer: SONY DVD RW DW-U14A bought in 2003. (original firmware 1.0d) -SVCD on CDRs works but A/V is not synch and video freezes in case of high rate sequences. -MP3s on CDRs works but some files are not readable. -Video on DVD-R works very well (created with Nero Vision Express 2.1.0.4 and burned with Nero 6.3.0.0) -Video on DVD+R and DVD+RW doesn't work with normal BitSetting (BookType=DVD+R or DVD+RW). Not able to change book type with SONY DVD RW DW-U14A as of today. Good player except for DVD+R/RW... TomTom

N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Burned DVD-Audio using WinonCD 6 DVD Edition - works perfectly. There may be a problem with WinOnCD's menu system for this format or a problem with the player (not sure). Each album is a separate entry on the main menu. When selecting an album, the contents are displayed on a sub-menu. Playing the album results in an annoying loop. If 10 tracks on the album then all 10 are played and then all 10 played again and so on, until the STOP button or MENU buttons are pressed. No easy way of playing ALL the albums on a single DVD without playing each album separately and getting to the STOP/MENU button before selecting the next.

For the DVD+RW you have to use the compatibilty settings set to DVD-ROM (see http://www.dvdplusrw.org/ ) and then you're set ! If you have a NEC ND-1100A it is not possible with the original firmaware to change tne compatibility settings; so here's what you should do : -put the firmware of the HP DVD writer 300i (see http://etna.rpc1.org/nec/index.html ) -use nero : now you can change the bitsettings

N/A 9 of 10 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX Comments: Regarding the Audio/Video Sync issues for the SD210E/SD220E - visit this site http://www.billh.demon.co.uk/download.htm and get this vcdxbuild.exe. Replace the original vcdxbuild.exe of VCDEasy and/or DVD2SVCD bundle with it and you're fine. Means now all SVCDs play in perfect sync and with PBC turned on. :) Works for SD220E too.

CVD? $175 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: I have a multi region hardware upgraded unit. Had some trouble with DVD+R/RW compatibility. I got the +R media to work eventually but found I had to put more than 1.8Gb on the disk for it to play. Using Datawrite media, Nero 5.5.10.7 using the DVD-Video preset for burning on an NEC ND1000-A Drive and ReelDVD to compile the video files (used AC-3 audio tracks). All menus work perfectly. Haven't got +RW media to play tosh says "disk error" but my burner doesn't support bitsetting (yet) so have been unable try setting media to DVD-RAM which is supposed to work. For pre-recorded media the tosh is tops - excellent sound and picture, good features for the money. Only one real criticism - the drive mechanism is a bit noisy.

All discs burned with Nero 5.5.9.17 as UDF/ISO.All play on PS2 even Datasafe. SVCD out of sync with Nero generated menus.Fine without menu.SVCD in sync with menus with Ulead DVD Movie Factory.

N/A No rating Comments: You dont need to go to all that hassle to fix the synch problem, just turn off PBC, every SVCD ive burned works perfect this way, even the Pirated SVCD's by groups like TCF, Centropy, TDI work fine.
