CVD? $? over 1 year 8 of 10 Comments: Excelent image quality. Problems reading some dvd-r media. Makes some noise while reading dvd's.

CVD? $500 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: I bought it about 4 to 5 years and was told that it had the same bit as the pioneer model. So far it has accepted all i have given it, except for the very odd DVDR, and i mean very odd. i find the picture to be very good and it is a superb player for its age

N/A 8 of 10 Comments: My player is a chipped to remove macrovision and provide multi-region. I've had no problems with it so far (have owned it for 3.5 years). Note that TEAC DV-1000s are in fact Pioneer player inards (can't remember which model - sorry) in a TEAC shell. It has successfully played VCD (and audio CDs for that matter) burned on CDR - Hewlett Packard black (cheap!) CDRs, as well as some Verbatim, Kodak and Pioneer ones as well. It seems pretty much bullet-proof as far as CDRs are concerned. The VCD quality was spot-on, with no problems experienced with video, menus or audio. It has also played both DVD+RWs and DVD-RWs burned using a Pioneer A06 burner and Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD. The DVD+RWs were Phillips and the DVD-RWs were Hewlett Packard.

N/A 5 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD JPG/JPEG DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX MPEGISO Comments: Plays DVD-Video OK, but lacks RGB output on the SCART. Wouldn't buy one now but was good value when I got it 4 yrs ago.
