MP3 CBR WMA CVD? $125 over 1 year 7 of 10 DVD-WMA MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: This is a karaoke DVD player with jacks for 2 microphones. It does a lot of things ok including DVD+-R/W, CD-R/W and karaoke features. SVCD however you will always notice the picture dragging behind the sound (out of sync). DVD-RW works good. It takes a long time to load burned SVCD and DVD discs and it's a gamble on which media it will accept. I would avoid this player as there are more reliable ones out there at better price. I give it a 7 for all the numerous (low-quality) features.

Any one has the same problem ?

MP3 CBR 256kbit/s WMA CVD? $175 N/A 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX MPEGISO Comments: Owned for over a year now, it has been a decent player Pros: plays DVD and VCD's good; quiet; nice look cons: 1.Audio Sync is mostly off on VBR bitrates; 2.skips on cheaper cd-r media 3.subtitles are always defaulted to ON. 4.skips on XVCD's and high bitrate svcd's 5.time display always finishes on svcd's around 40min no matter what bitrate its been good, but always a pain for watching svcd's. I now have the Norcent DP300 (wallmart)- very comparable to the apex 1100, but plays everything! and does it awsomely

CVD? $600 N/A 5 of 10 Comments: I have only tried my vcd's of my Canon Hi 8 vidio avi. type files I burned on my laptop with pinnacle express software, but the vcd is not as clear as the vhs tapes I made on the vcr this is a tv,vcr, dvd sylvania tv combo. i hope the dvd i burn will be better i am about to try and find some blank dvd's i only recently found out circuit city and best buy carry them now. S-vcd's i burned would not play the player said disc error.

CVD? $150 N/A 6 of 10 Comments: Plays all Cursor colorful 700MB CD-R and Cursor 700MB CD-RW. I tried (X)VCD (tried up to 2.5Mbps) and works fine. I tried (X)SVCD (tried up to 3.5Mbps) and works fine but may have slight audio delay (synchronization). I don't know if it was the MPEG2 file or the player. It does play all SVCD tracks. I haven't tried subtitles on SVCD and haven't tried higher bit rates. All CD-R(W) (X)(S)VCDs I created from VCDHelp.com images and verified they work. I tried MP3 CDs. I seems a bit confused sometimes and refuses to play some tracks on one occasion but plays it later when I come back. I also found I would have a better chance of it playing MP3 tracks if I put the CD in, press stop, then select a track with the DISPLAY menu, then play. Maybe all this was because I had 22kHz MP3s on the same CD? It will not play 22kHz MP3s. It can play 128kbps, 192kbps, and 256kbps MP3s in stereo 44.1kHz. I haven't tried 48kHz audio encoded to MP3. This was my brothers DVD player I tested my CD-R(W)s on. He has returned it because it would pause for 1 or 2 seconds between normal audio CD tracks (same for MP3s). He didn't like that. He wanted a player that can also play audio CD that seamlessly transition from track to track without pauses (e.g. for crossfaded songs). It had a nice feature though for VCDs; it has a "digest" feature that will take samples of 9 frames on the whole VCD in regular intervals to allow easy jump to scenes. This is especially nice for VCDs that have a single long track with no menus defined on the CD.

CVD? $150 N/A 5 of 10 Comments: Great player so far.. Plays everything I threw at it. Even cheap cd-r's. This player seems to be a clone of the Revoy 2200 ,the GPX DV2200 and the Wesder AV-200. The region free hack for it is the same as those 2. To make it region free, open the disk tray and press 8926 (you'll see stars on the screen) then press 9. The 9 will show briefly on the screen. That's it. To program a specific zone enter the zone instead of the final 9.
