CVD? $150 30 days 5 of 10 Comments: Does a very good job of recording TV shows to DVD. However it does NOT set the 16:9 aspect ratio when you are dubbing from a camcorder through the DVI to DVD. Instead it stretches the aspect ratio to make everyone taller when displayed on a 4:3 screen. I also have not been able to get a dual-layer disc to play in any other DVD player so am only able to use single-layer DVDs. Have converted several VHS to DVD and it works fairly well. Titles are difficult to edit and it places today's date on all the titles which is confusing since the video was really shot many years ago. Bought it off e-bay and for the price it's ok. It will be a nice replacement for my VCR but I'm still going to have to keep looking for a recorder to transfer my latest miniDV tapes to DVD.
