CVD? $? 1 days 1 of 10 Comments: Okay let me give you some info on this piece of crap dvd player. First of all I originally have an APEX AD-1100W which is very old. It will play everything. I even bought some UK videos for my baby girl which it also plays but I couldn't rip it :) for backup only in case original gets scratch. I recently bought a Cedarmont Kids video called "Action Bible Songs" very cheap with shipping around 6 bucks. The apex played it. After hooking This one up and inserting that dvd, I noticed that the skin of the children was much more darker kind of more red. Well the whole picture was rather darker PERIOD!. The video was choppy and was hesitating and pausing. Well I knew it had scratchs on it so I burnt a DVD+R from my backup of its image.It played on the Apex perfectly even with these scratches on the original with no issues at all. To my surprise it played on sony the same exact way as the original. I was going to let the Uk videos slide and cut my loses since it was probably PAL or something but after this I said hell no. This crap has got to go! So this is going back to walmart to try that magnavox one. I got to make a another trip to wally world to take this piece of crap back thinking I was getting a legit dvd player on par with that APEX AD-110W,,,, WRONG!! If anyone knows a dvd play like that apex that will play children dvd from uk as that apex did let me know. Those dvd titles that were from overseas that apex played were titled: Row, Row Row Your Boat & Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star from www.kidsmusicshop.co.uk As I write this Apex is playing Twinkle dvd perfectly LOL. Not even 1 day just less that 30 minutes was spent on this sony but its enough information on my end to know it's not worth the 34 bucks spent on it. If anyone knows of another one similar to that awesome Apex AD-1100W which played everything then let me know. Thanks hope this information helps others in making their dvd purchase.

CVD? $? 180 days 3 of 10 Comments: This player is great for store bought DVD playing, but inconsistent with DVD+R DL and even less reliable with DVD +R. I have the older model Sony and it worked much better. Perhaps it is the progressive scan that causes the error?

CVD? $? 1 days No rating Comments: I bought this as a gift after reading good reviews on Amazon (72 reviews). I did some quick testing with several types of discs. I was able to get it to play: DVD+R and DVD+RW discs with DVD video. CD-R discs with .JPG photos CDRW with SVCD video CD-R with VCD video CD-R with .MP3 files What did NOT work: MiniDVD (DVD video on a CD-R) .MPG files on a CD-R .AVI files Remote control worked well. Paid about $40 at Walmart store. I planned on giving the player as a gift to my mother, but someone else gave her a DVD player, so I returned this one. If my current Daewoo DVD player breaks, I would consider buying this model again for myself.

CVD? $? 3 days 8 of 10 Comments: This dvd player played all of my dvd movies without any issues. One of my discs was scratched and this player played it fine. The unit is very slim and small in size. You can take this on your trips with ease. This player will not play blu-ray disc, so don't bother buying a blu-ray movie. It plays backup dvd's fine on the verbatim discs.
