CVD? $250 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Just tried to make a VCD Slide Show for the first time using GO-TECH CD-R media, Teac burner, Paint Shop Photo Album. The Sony showed "No Disk". Have read comments (after I burnt the CD-R) here and realise that this unit is probably twitchy as to CD-R media. Princo appears to be good in the reports, but cannot find it here in Australia.

DVD player reads: CD-R: Vivastar and Princo 74 e 80 min CD-RW: All CD-RWs you can find plays VCD and photo CD, with menus and XVCD. Plays SVCD in 74 and 80 min and also XSVCD. plays audio cd in cdr and cdrw. DVD+rw: HP media, HP 100i+Nero, plays all DVD+rw that i created. I used Sonic MY dvd and DVDit PE. DVD+r: HP media, HP 200i, sonic dvdit and nero 5.5.9.0 Plays DVD-VCD and DVD-SVCD, created with spruceup and burn with nero.

N/A 8 of 10 Comments: CDRW only appears to work with blue tinged discs - I've successfully used Memorex 650 1x2x4 bought onb a spindle from PC world - burnt using easy CD creator on an iomega zip cd 650 under XP having captured images using Dazzle DVC II.

N/A 10 of 10 Comments: Great advice on site re media Tried audio CD's in many brands - none worked. Included Precision, TDK x 2, Memorex, some unbranded. Bought VIVASTAR media as recommended and so far checked it plays VCD, SVCD and audio CD Didn't find the media easy to find, but in the UK PCZOO came up trumps. Quick and cheap too

CVD? $500 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: Tried this with a few different brand dvd-r's. Apple, Pioneer, Cheapo unbranded. All worked fine. svcd's, this player only seems to recognize princo cdr's. Excellent picture quality, excellent player. Recommended!

CVD? $500 N/A 10 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD Comments: The sony 735 plays Vivastar CDRs (available from Argos in UK among others) perfectly 100% of the time. Max bitrate for VCD is about 2500K, and using Panasonic encoder the pics are very good. Plays DVD-R & DVD-RW perfectly in my experience. Using Verbatim DVD-RW, Infiniti DVD-R, Pioneer DVD-R. No problems buring VCDs at 16x speed with Plextor. Using Pioneer A03 for DVD burning. Nice machine.

This thing has the best picture and sound quality and not to mention all the things you can hook it up with. (just look at the back of the dvd-player and you'll understand) DVD player reads: CD-R: Vivastar and Princo CD-RW: All CD-RWs you can find plays VCD and photo CD. All the things you can do with it,its unbelievable. And a little last thing,you can check out how long you DVD has been playing by putting the DVD in sleep mode and press those buttons:ENTER,TITLE,CLEAR and Power button and see what happens. The best player of 2000-2001
