CVD? $350 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: I burned using NEC ND-1300A with firmware 1.05, tried using Sony DVD+R and Samsung CD-RW worked fine but then tried DVD+RW from Philips, Verbiatam, Ricoh and also Pioneer DVD-RW all failed miserably. So far I have not got it to play ANY DVD RW's.

N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Tried it with Bulpack Gen 4 DVD-R and Datasafe DVD-RW works great I bought recently a Samsung S224 and guess what he can't read DVD-RW and some of my DVD-R !!!!!!!!! The same ones !

N/A 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: Although some people here reported that CD-RW would not work -> that's definitely wrong, CD-RW works perfectly. Just CD-R does not work. SVCD does not work, however if you multiplex SVCD compliant MPEG-2 files with a VCD header, it plays them perfectly. And now the best: This player definitely plays DVD+RW, just tried it out, works perfectly. Will try out DVD+R somewhen and post here, but I guess ir will work also.

N/A No rating Comments: Princo cdr 80 min tested in Sony dvp-s325 and works. Sometimes picture go slow but really works fine. The only one branch works for me is this. Best regards

CVD? $300 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: SVCD converted to VCD works but the quality is not so good. Read the vcdhelp (with TMPEGEnc alternative try before)"SVCD to VCD". Very good quality. I think SVCD could not be better. The S325 is an good Player. The only one thing that really sucks is that the Player is only reading CDRW. I can't play Platinum CDR's in my Player. What went wrong?

CVD? $300 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: The only brands of CDR that work for me are the Princo based ones. Unbranded Princo, or Datasafe Originals (based on Princo) work fine. All CDRW brands I've tried work (low speed and high speed) SVCDS hacked to VCD format work great, and all VCDs are fine. Tried many DVD-R and DVD-RW discs which all work fine (Verbatim, Apple, FWS, Datasafe, Princo). Great player, if only it did SVCD straight it would be perfect :)

CVD? $300 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: CD-RW recorded on a new disc work every time. Re formatted fail everytime. As a DVD player it is easy to use and fully featured.

CVD? $300 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: Tested VCD's and XVCD's using CD-RW. Encountered error in display C 13:00 after using NERO. Workaround to make these disks playable is to cd-copy them with NERO with NO simulation option. These copies will work fine for playing VCD's en XVCD's on CD-RW's. Haven't found CD-R's that worked. Other Sony DVD players are playing Princo CD-R but not on this Sony DVP-S325.
