MP3 VBR WMA CVD? $150 N/A 9 of 10 DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX MPEGISO Comments: Very interessting DVD Player for freaks like me. Plays all kind of Disc formats, only thing I wasnt able to test was DVD+R, but I bet it would work as well. All important stuff like SVCD, VCD and same on DVD (S/VCD-DVD) works without any problems. XSVCD didnt really work (stuttered even at 4000kbit), but IMO not very important, same for MiniDVD ..DVD Writers became cheap lately ;) I also tested several CD-R/RW and DVD-R/RW Brands, all worked, even Hi-Speed CD-RW which cause a lot of display corruption on my other United DVD Player. MPEG on a Data-CD works on my United, not on this Sony one. MP3 tested up to 320kbit, CBR and VBR, no probs. No ID3 display, but LFN, even on the front-display (scrolling by). Unfortunately DVD-MP3 not working here either. Dunno about Progressive Scanning. Nice Picture, nice features, nice Price.
