Verbatim is the best media for this player IMO. Player working for me about 3 y. without problems. DVD+R DL may work after change bitsettig to DVD-ROM.

CVD? $100 60 days 8 of 10 Comments: Burning a DV homevideo on DVD-R/RW with NeroVision Express 2.0 with menu's, works fine on the DVP-NS355 DVD player. It seems that the NS355 player is very strict in playing only the right DVD structure, and probably Nero keeps itself more to the standard DVD structure than e.g. Pinnacle.

CVD? $100 30 days 4 of 10 Comments: Just like the report from Bernd Sommer from Germany at July 02, 2004: Comments: NS355 won't play self recorded DVD-R/RW produced with Pinnacle Studio SE (ver 8.7) Only plays the menu's, when trying to view the chapters, the counters starts running but the screen stays as it was before (stays black, in menu, or stays at intro). Self recorded DVD-R/RW runs o.k. on other DVD-players. Fine DVD-player for everything but displaying home-video's on DVD-R/RW. (probably the same for DVD+R/RW)

Was £69 from Amazon.co.uk and region hacked (have tested!) James.

Only pressing clear does the job, but then the zooming is also gone.

CVD? $? 5 days 3 of 10 DVD-JPG Comments: Plays jpg and commercial DVD-Movies. I bought it as a gift. Is supposed to show my DVD's produced with Pinnacle Liquid Edition, Ulead Media Studio Pro, Premiere Pro. Produced several DVDs, which run on my own Sony DVP-S335 or 336, which is several years older than NS355. Tried DVD+R and -R with menus, produced with Ulead and Liquid. They all show the menu but they do not run. Today I produced a new DVD without a menu. Could not try it yet. Rating 3 is only because it is working fine with jpg and DVD-Movies.

Just tested my starting concert bootleg collection of dvd (r+, r-) & vcd and everything works as promised by sony. Jpeg works. Manual not very user friendly (after 3 hoursi blame myself and not Sony for the moment) and remote does not operate on my thomson tv, Nice cabinet & design total 119 euros (same price of the old 330) 3O more euros to get optical digital semmed to much If anyone will hack this one ...
