Plays +DL disks burned as iso by DVDdecrypter and also self authored DVDs by TMPGEnc DVDAuthor and burned by Nero 6.3.1.12 on a Sony DRU700. Bought from Woolworths for £60 and enabled multiregion using the OneForAll hack. Get one while you can.

CVD? $? 30 days 8 of 10 Comments: I burned 16 DVD+R DL discs with nero 6.xxx and Sony DRU-700A. The firmware of my sony is VY05 - patched - enabled bitsetting support (get it at http://codeguys.rpc1.org/firmwares.html ) All recorded DVD+R DL work perfectly in this player. In some of them (10 disks) i did the following: 1- decrypted DVD with dvd decrypter 2- used dvdshrink to remove Layer break information 3- Bit setting to DVD-Rom 3. burn the contents with Sony DRU-700A and Nero 6.xxx packed with the Sony DRU-700A drive. In the rest of the DVD+R DL (6) i did the following: 1- decrypted with DVD Decrypter 2- Used DVDShrink to remove Layer break information 3- Burned DVD with Nero and Sony DRU-700A

Some weird errors with DVD-R, but after switch to DVD+R all worked flawlessly.

It reads this: DVD: Princo "General" DVD-R (2x) (realy cheap disks) TDK DVD-R (4x) Think Xtra (TX) DVD-R (2x) Imation DVD-RW Imation DVD+R Nashua DVD+RW Nashua DVD+R Philips DVD+R (X)SVCD on whatever brand of cd-r (i did'nt had one it would'nt play ;-) ) (X)VCD With subs. MP3 on cd-r (haven't tried it yet on a dvd.. but who cares...cd-r is more than enough ) But no id3 tag support. But does display long filenames on tv and on its own display! (thats nice) ) Sound quality is far better than my old grundig. Picture quality is very good!!! So for just 109 euro a cheap but "i-take-everything-you-put-in-me" player ;-)

N/A 9 of 10 Comments: very good player with excellent quality pictures in pal. i also tried ntsc-dvd. it works, but i can see scanlines... this player has the best picture-quality i've ever seen. i own a dvd+/r(w) burner. i tried successfully: - dvd+r, dvd+rw, dvd-r, svcd, vcd, mvcd - 352x288, 352x576, 720x576 pal (HQ!!!) - 720x480 ntsc (less quality - scanlines)

CVD? $150 N/A 9 of 10 DivX Comments: This is an excellent player for the price. Plays any bulk cd-r/cd-rw that i have tried. Even if I burn a (s)vcd(VCDEasy, Nero, Alcohol) with 32x it doesn't get blurry or screw up the audio. Still gooing to do some more testing. Next up I'm gonna try svcd subtitles and dvd-r/dvd+r testing(DVD-VCD, DVD-mp3) etc. as I can find the time. Anyone going for a cheap but all-around quality player should check out this one.

N/A 10 of 10 Comments: Played all DVD-Video and VCD/SVCD I have authored and burned correctly. Makes a funny noise when changing tracks on a multi track DVD-video. Looks cool and region hack is easy.

So far i've tested the following brands: Memorex dvd-r, memorex dvd-rw, sony dvd+rw, sony dvd-r, datawrite 2x dvd-r. A very good player.. MP3 function also works perfectly. So far i've only tested mp3 on cdr.
