CVD? $100 N/A 10 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: We have a Sony internal DVD+RW/CD-RW drive for our HP Pavilion computer which we updated to WindowsXP from WindowsME. We have an ADS Instant DVD unit with Ulead CapWiz software and also a 321Studio DVDXCopy software to backup our VHS tapes and DVDs. We recently purchased this Sony DVD player for just under $100 and it plays all our music CDs and our DVD backups as crystal clear as the originals. The remote is simple and does everything we need it to do. Our DVD drive can only burn to CD-R/RW and DVD+RW discs. The two RCA DVD players and one APEX DVD player we had would not play any of our DVD+RW discs so we got rid of them. This black beauty plays them all, whether we use CapWiz or DVDXCopy. Any brand of DVD+RW discs will work problem-free with the formats/modes recommended by our software. We have no complains about this DVD player.

N/A No rating DVD-RAM Comments: got it for 39$ on sale, with coupon, and a friends store discount, cant beat it for the price!

CVD? $100 N/A 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: I love this player. It eats just about everything I throw at it. For those of you looking to get a great player but not pay a hefty price I definitely recommend this player. Few things I should mention. It does play svcd's and xsvcd's but only if you do the vcd header trick. Also, it only has a coaxial out and not an optical one for muti-channel sound.

N/A 9 of 10 Comments: Very happy with this player - ditched my old Sony DVP-S330 for this at less than half the price and can now play everything I've tried so far. This model (in black) seems to be exactly the same spec's as the DVP-NS315 (in silver). I do dislike the setup menu icon's - not intuitive at all. Note those of you who bemoan the lack of features esp. on the remote - I used my DVP-S330 remote (RMT 109A) and all the playback control features work. Scan F/B in 2 speeds, slow F/B in 2 speeds, frame advance F/B and chapter F/B direct chapter access from # keys - also most of the other features work as you'd expect too - a better remote makes this player much better. You can pick up sony DVD remotes on ebay cheap... the one that comes with it is not much use. I've Tried Memorex DVR-RW, Sony DVD+RW, Memorex DVD-R and Memorex CD-RW (VCD) all worked great. VCD playback was notably smoother than on my S330. I've only tried several generic brand CD-R's in audio mode but read them all fine. Alan
