CVD? $200 180 days 5 of 10 Comments: I would rate this higher, but I bought this player because I wanted a changer and figured all new players would play DVDs well. I've been having troubles with select DVDs that I've burned - halfway thru movie the picture destabilizes. I even bought a DVD from Hawaii and can only view the first half. My PC plays these DVDs fine. I'm currently in the market looking for a DVD player that will play any DVD I throw at it. VCD support is good from what I've seen (tried about 10).

CVD? $175 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: Main reason I bought it was for my backed up movie copies. I used Verbatim DVD+R/RW which worked great.

CVD SVCD VCD CD-R CD-RW DVD-R DVD+RW SVCDs w/ header trick CVDs w/ header trick Disc change speed is ok, takes 5-10 seconds from end of first disc till the next disc starts playing. When playing an SVCD w/ header trick, I noticed the time on the unit goes faster then it should. I dont like the menu system it has.

The only feature that it lacks is digital zoom, but I bought this dvd player because it is a cheap introduction to SACD.
