Comments:
The only real problem with this player is that it will NOT play PAL DVD's. However, there were two fixed that worked:

1. convert DVD to NTSC
2. Edit the IFO files with IFOedit. (the "patch method"

Both methods played fine in the player, but being able to use the patch method makes it a non-issue for me, since it's such an easy fix.

Another problem is that I don't like the slot load changer. I haven't had any problems with it, I just like trays better.

VCD and SVCD both play great, and I've noticed no synch issues with anything I've thrown at it.

Media tried so far:

Verbatim 16x DVD+R - works
Memorex 8x DVD+R - works
Imation 4x DVD-RW - works
Hewlett Packard 4x DVD+RW - works
Imation 48x CD-R - works
Durabrand (walmart cheapies) 48x CD-R - works

All media were burnt at their maximum speed, except for the Memorex, which fail to burn above 4x. >:(

All in all, I'm happy with this system.
