MP3 WMA CVD? $700 N/A 3 of 10 DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DVD-RAM Comments: This DAV-C990's manual does not mention compability with DVD-R,RW,+R,+RW or RAM. However, I have tested the players capability and it has dificulty with DVD-RW discs and DVD-Rs are much more compatible but some have trouble towards the end of the disc. Prico brand DVD-Rs most play great but towards the end it has problems too. I went into the technical menu (press & hold display button+stop button and turn the knob clockwise) In the service menu it does mention compability with DVD-RW discs. This makes me beleive that it does not play the R,RW discs due to a firmware from Sony. VCD & SVCD is excellent I have used up to 4000Kbps and resolution of 720 X 480 and plays just great. Please give detailed information as to how to make the DAV-C990 DVD-R, RW compatible using the service menu

N/A 10 of 10 Comments: This player has played everything Ive thrown at it. Ive used verbatim and fulifilm cd-r's, verbatim cd-r/w, verbatim dvd-r/w, pioneer dvd-r and sony dvd+r/w. Didnt have any problems with my burned vcds or svcds. Had one problem with one of my burned DVD's but I found out in a few minutes that that was fingerprint related. Havent tried authoring with it yet although i plan to soon. All of this stuff was burned using Nero 5.5.10.15.

N/A 10 of 10 MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: This is my third DVD-player (Mustek v520 and Sony DVP s735). This DVD plays everything i put, MP3, VCD, XVCD, SVCD, XSVCD, DVD, SACD, DVD-VCD e DVD-SVCD. The DVD-VCD and the DVD-SVCD, i used DVD+r and DVD+RW HP media, HP 200i+ Nero 5.5.9.9(17). Great sound and picture, another great job of sony.
