CVD? $? 60 days 8 of 10 Comments: Great upconverting to DVDs. My first Bluray player so I can't really compare it to any others. If you are using the online features, best to use a hard-wired LAN connection. Using the Wifi feature means buying a propreitary Sony wi-fi adapter for around $79, and at that cost you could just buy a BR player with built-in Wi-fi. Bought mine the week of Thanksgiving 2010 at Sam's Club for $98. Will update this page as more media is added. Plays .mkv files like a charm via either the disk or the front USB connection. Plays Divx and mpeg too, but NOT XVid. If you use the play me dot com program, which is free for what I'm about to describe, you can easily stream any video on your PC. Even XVids.
