CVD? $150 N/A 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG MPEGISO Comments: NO region code hack is necessary, it works out of box. Reading DVD-RW disk is successfully, though slow.

CVD? $160 N/A 8 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD Comments: NOTE: there appears to be TWO versions of the shinco dvd-6868. This info is for the one sold in mainland China as seen in the link. THe other version seems to be sold out of hongkong and has a completely different front pannel and does not have all these features. The mainland China version: Has component video out, S-video, composite video. Analog 5.1 audio out, coaxial sound out, optical sound out. Can be selected between PAL and NTSC output format. Can convert PAL encoded video to NTSC out and vice-versa. 100V-220V 50/60 Hz AC input. It supports a "slide show" mode if a CD/CDR/CDRW is load with JPG images on it. Supports Kodak Picture CD. It will play any mpeg2 or mpeg1 file(s) on a CD/CDR/CDRW even if the cd is not in VCD/SVCD directory format. It is region free out of the Box! You can select the region screen off the main menu - no funny key sequences needed. (We purchased ours in China so, maybe this only works if unit is purchased in China.) Does NOT play CD+G type karaoke discs, ONLY vcd type karaoke format is supportted. NOTE: It WILL play the Audio tracks from a CD+G, but no graphics.
