I bought it for the DVD-WMA playability, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it plays DIVX, MPEG and ASF files as well. Note that this is NOT divx-certified. The divx quality isn't the same as certified players, but overall watchable. It may even support subtitles, however when I select a file from the list, it says "subtitle selected", but I can't figure out how to get it to play with the video. It also plays DVD-Audio, and supports user-changeable backgrounds to any jpeg file. It mentions a maximum of 500 files per disc, but all songs of a 800+ song dvd showed up in the list and played flawlessly. One thing that bugs me is you can't browse the mp3/wma list while music is playing - you have to press stop first. Otherwise, the unit is very stylish with the tray hidden behind the front panel that drops down when opened. Connections are good, including a component input (not mentioned in the manual), 2 video and 4 audio inputs (including 2 optical), as well as all the other bells and whistles (DTS, DPL2, etc)
