CVD? $300 N/A 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG DivX Comments: I tried many different svcd's and didnt have a lick of luck with any of them. But it played SVCD to DVD's just fine. I wish they would all come to some agreement on what to offer, because making the same home video for my family and friends, proved pretty much impossible, because they dont support it. Everyone needs to pic the same specs, because alot of people only have PS2 or XBOX, and they are the pickiest out there. Works great has problems fast fowarding on SVCD-DVD, gets caught and hangs. But the automatic conversino from 480p to 1080i is awesome(only avail through DVi and samsung tv for DNe)

MP3 CBR 320kbit/s WMA CVD? $300 N/A 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename DivX Comments: Notes: CD-R/CD-RW media was Maxell 700MB, 16x (CD-R)/650MB, 4x (CD-RW) DVD-R/W, DVD+R/W functions were NOT tested as I don't have access to a DVD-authoring drive yet. VCD/SVCD functions were NOT tested. Samsung says VCD is supported, but does not mention SVCD. Will test both later. MP3-CDs can be burned using ISO or Joliet spec, but are limited to 8-character (MS-DOS) file names. You CAN use folders, however. The user's guide warns that VBR playback isn't perfect, but CBR MP3s play fine (my testing confirms that). MP3 tags were not tested; I strip the tags from all of mine anyway (because half of you dorks enter incorrect information!)

N/A 8 of 10 MPEGISO Comments: jetzt mal auf deutsch: Ich habe mir den Samsung HT-DM150 vor kurzem zugelegt. Ich bin mit dem Teil sehr zufrieden, jedoch eines ärgert mich sehr: Den DVD-Receiver habe ich mir gekauft, weil ich auf dieser WEB-Site las, daß er fast alles kann, u.a. auch JPEG und MPEG1/2ISO. Leider kann meiner diese Formate nicht lesen. Kann mir jemand helfen? Vielleicht mache ich beim brennen Fehler... habe aber schon fast alles ausprobiert. Vielleicht gibt es Updates, die man sich aus dem Internet laden kann? Sonst ist der Player perfekt: VCD, SVCD, MSVCD, MP3.... er kann eigentlich alles ohne Probleme!

MP3 VBR WMA CVD? $250 N/A 9 of 10 JPG/JPEG MP3 long filename DivX Comments: Incredible value! Progressive scan is nice, good picture. No obvious drawbacks. Good, immersive and accurate sound. Good playback in Dolby 5.1 and DTS. Beautiful styling...looks and sounds far more expensive than it is. 2 cons that I could see 1.) In my daughter's Disney's Beauty & Beast Special Edition DVD, it shows the "angle switch" icon in top left of screen almost through-out entire movie, although there is no angle changes available. There does not appear to be any way to disable the angle switch icon if you do not care about it. 2.) Player seems to spin a little slow. This affects response time when navigating menus. No noticable effect on movie playback.

CVD $450 N/A No rating miniDVD/cDVD DivX MPEGISO Comments: Me parece un dvd genial!, tanto por su diseño plano, como por su reproduccion y calidad de sonido, la verdad esque pocos dvd's tienen esta calidad por este precio. Este DVD reproduce cualquier formato, he probado con vcd, svcd, y vcd non standar, peliculas ripeadas con tmpgenc y copiadas con nero, modificando bitrates a mi gusto.

CVD? $300 N/A 9 of 10 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG Comments: Great home theater for beginners. 300 Watts total power, Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Prologic II decoder. I especially like Prologic II feature, I can listen to all the TV, VCR and game sounds (even if they are mono) at 5.1 channel. Nice subwoofer, too. Despite the fact that it is not powered, it produces very deep base sound. Optical input allows to hookup with satellite/HDTV receiver box or game consoles for a true digital sound. Pros: Nice all-in-one system, attractive design, great sound for apartment size space, Dolby Prologic II, progressive scan, excellent DVD picture quality (when connected through component cable). I even like the remote. Unlike other DVD home theater system, this unit allows almost all the stand alone DVD player's function through remote. Buttons are a bit small but I have small hands, so no problem with that :). VCD, SVCD, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW compatible. My movie backups on all DVD + and - media work great. Best bang for the buck! Cons: No long file name support for MP3 playback (you can browse the files and folders on the TV screen, though). No random play for CD-Audio playback (MP3 playback has random play function, though). No JPEG file support. Over all, this is one hell of a system for the money I paid for. I love it!
