CVD? $60 180 days 7 of 10 JPG/JPEG Comments: Plays most discs fine. Does NOT play PAL discs, which is disappointing. Does not have a front panel readout, would have been nice if there was one. Does not have a skip/scan, just "instant skip" buttons which are kind of useless if you are trying to fast forward.

CVD? $70 over 1 year 9 of 10 MP3 long filename Comments: Very good player, especially considering the length of time I have had it. Have thrown SVCDs and DVD-Rs in it. All works very, very well. Disappointed that there is no region hack so I will have to buy a separate player for that purpose, but overall, I am very happy with it.

CVD? $60 330 days No rating Comments: This is a great DVD player, except for one major thing. I can't get it to play DVD-R's. It loops when loading and will not open the DVD.

CVD? $70 90 days 5 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-JPG Comments: Plays most DVD's pretty good. After having it for about 3 months, I'm getting a lot of pixelization on any DVD+R media I burn on. It's really bad toward the end of the movies. I'm mainly using DVD Decrypter and DVD2ONE burning with Nero. I've tried other software and I still get the same thing. I would not recommend this player.

CVD? $60 180 days 8 of 10 JPG/JPEG DivX MPEGISO DVD-MPEGISO Comments: I've only tried one brand of DVD+RW and the player would not read the disk, it hangs at LOADING... using the exact same method (dvdshrink 3.2.0.15 with the "at least 30mm high compatibility mode" whatever that does) used to burn DVD-R has worked flawlessly. It has played every DVD-R I've tried. The mp3 playing features are so-so, though the basic interface and remote are very good for a cheap player. I can't really attest to image quality, since i've only got a 32" 480i TV, i.e. no progressive scan for me.

CVD? $60 21 days 9 of 10 Comments: I tried Emerson, Sony, Panasonic and I always had problems to be able to play all my DVDs. Finally, this one is doing the job. I use it with a Sony KV34HS420 television and the result is great. For the price, I do recommend this player. I won't list the brand of the DVD medias I used, but I am pretty confident it plays almost all of them. I tried at least 15 different brands/kinds (+-R, +-RW) Thank you

CVD? $60 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: I previously had a Koss KD365 which would not play a single DVD-R that I had created. I returned it to sears and they upgraded me to the Samsung DVD-P241. I'm on my 3rd movie so far and it has played them without a hitch. Setup was simple, menus are pretty good. Remote is very basic but other than that, so far so good. Best Buy and Sears both could not keep these in stock when I called around so I guess they are pretty good for others as well
