N/A 7 of 10 Comments: cd-r work if media is silver-blue. vcd works fine on silver-blue disc. dvd+r no problems.(philips) dvd+rw (philips)reads TOC, then nothing happends. The player chops in some DVD menus.(ID:4, Perfect Storm) RCE discs works. Has problems with seamless branching.

N/A 8 of 10 miniDVD/cDVD JPG/JPEG DVD-MP3 MP3 long filename MP3 ID3 TAG DivX MPEGISO Comments: I have tried traxdata and tdk dvd-r burnt with pioneer 105 at 1x (traxdata) and 2x (tdk) and they both work perfectly on this player. I have yet to try more media. DVD-RW works fine, i use datasafe media. I have not had a cd-r which works yet on this machine, tried a huge amount of brands! cd-rw plays fine, but they player prefers more expensive brands. VCD plays perfectly from cd-rw. using the vcd header trick, you can get svcd to play, but you have to keep the bitrate below 1.5Mbit as i think it only spins the disc at 1 speed.

CVD? $300 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: Tested with 6 Brands of CD-R, some with very high quality, which failed miserably. CD-RW works rather bad too. It tests and finds the disc, but no more. DVD-R worked flawlessly with Pinoeer DVD-R discs. It plays VCD as long as they are on silver discs.

It does work with Princo branded media (the £2.39 stuff from svpcommunications), this media also worked in my Pioneer-606.

CVD? $300 N/A No rating Comments: The only CD-R that I was successful in playing on this machine was the Princo brand -- no problems whatsoever playing VCDs copied onto those CDRs.
