MP3 WMA CVD? $350 over 1 year 1 of 10 JPG/JPEG DVD-WMA DivX Comments: Bought this unit 3 years ago when it came out. Thought it would complement all the other Samsung AV equipment I have (TV, CD, VCR etc)and it had great features. It was Awesome... at first. Then the S**T his the fan and stuff started not working, discs not playing and jittering and stuttering like you would not believe. So after several conversations with the store I bought it at AND Samsung,who wouldn't do anything for me (the F****rs), I bought a new dvd player (not Samsung). I will no longer by ANYTHING from Samsung. In any case I couldn't fimd a Hack for it so I tried a similar model and now it will not play any DVDs. Still plays Audio and VCD though. Any suggestions??

CVD? $200 N/A 2 of 10 DivX Comments: I bought this system 3 years ago. It is the worst electronics purchase I have ever made. The first 3 months i had it it was in the shop under warrenty for DVD reading problems. Samsung finally shipped me a new one. Wasnt any better. It rarely plays DVDs the full way through. Always skips. Freezes once in a while. I have resorted to watching everything on my XBox.

CVD? $140 N/A 7 of 10 Comments: This has been a good quality player for me, and it's one of the hard-to-find models with a built-in Dolby AC-3 decoder, which I needed to make use of Dolby Digital surround on my Kenwood receiver. (It has seperate RCA output jacks on the back of it for 6 channels. 2 fronts, center channel, 2 rears, and subwoofer.) I recently discovered it will not play a DVD+RW disc at all, though. (I made the DVD+RW using a Philips DVD+RW drive, which I've since returned.) I now have a Pioneer DVR-A03 DVD burner, so I intend to make a DVD-R (and DVD-RW) to see if the player can at least play those. Also, although it does play CDR's with MP3s on them, it doesn't recognize long filenames, nor does it allow random play of tracks or starting at specific directories. (I've heard reports that it chokes badly on any scratch it hits while playing an MP3 file, too. Apparently, it can cause it to jump to a random part of the disc or stop playing completely.)

CVD? $180 N/A No rating Comments: had some decent features, but out of all the dvd's i tried to watch, over 50% of them either skipped, or froze up completely about half way through the film. I couldnt even finish the movie.

N/A No rating Comments: This player has played all CD-R media that I've thrown into it. I purchased the player mainly because of the MP3 ability, and it does this well. I have since become addicted to VCD's. :)
