When I bought it, this was a fairly expensive machine; I expect that to last at least 5 years.

N/A 9 of 10 Comments: Oke I have a REvoy 2200 for a long time now, I really think this DVD-player is worth your money. I can feed it almost everything and it just plays it with no problems. I recently bought a Sony DRU-500a DVD + - writer and copied some films. I use Nashua DVD+R and DVD-R disc both work Fine selectable Subs + Audio no problem for this fine piece of equipment. For SVCD movies i use all kinds of CD-Rs never had problems Sound is always Sync with movie DIsc i have used - CD-R : Nashua, TDK, Philips, Traxdata, Sony, Octron Mp3 i don`t use alot just tested it a few times just burn the MP3 CDs in ISO and it will work fine with a bitrate of max 196kbs ---------------------------------------------------- The only thing wich could be improved is it sometimes makes a little bit noise in the first 10 sec of searching what kind of media it is fed. But when playing it never makes much noise.

DVD+r is readable but the video not playing good, every 5 seconds it stands still. I don't know why, maby sombody knows the answer. It playes everything, svcd's are very sharp. You can even play vcd with pictures on it. A picture VCD. If you have a Revoy 2200 and you still have warranty and you can't play DVD-rw/+rw, sent your player to Revoy and they will repleace the drive for one that can read DVD-rw/+rw. It's a monster.

CVD? $360 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: I tested SVCD (PAL) but with higher bitrates up to 9800 kbps. This worked perfectly well. Quality improves. For a good trade-off between filesize and quality I would recommend a bitrate of 3500..5000 kbps. I also tested XSVCD but the player doesn't accept the higher resolution of 720 x 576 pixels (PAL). This is in line with the specs of the Zoran Vaddis III DVD Decoder IC (www.zoran.com) that powers the player.

CVD? $360 N/A 9 of 10 Comments: This is the first of 4 dvd player i have had that cobines the for me important functions of dts-audio/dvd audio and m3 with a menu. Its region free, macrovision off and takes all kind of cd forms and formats. There is no mp3 shuffle and searching through a track is only possible with the knob on the machine. Finally it has a load time of just under 12 seconds, which is long but acceptable for me. A prefect machine, for a reasonable price. Don't buy cheaper you will get to this machine in the end if multifunctionality is your choise!!

CVD? $400 N/A 8 of 10 Comments: This player is really GREAT. The day after I bought it made a SVCD from a Sony PC100E mini DV home video. I used Sony DVGate Motion to capture it into an AVI file on my Sony F305 laptop (Firewire interface) and used TMPGEnc as MPEG encoder and Nero to burn the SVCD. I put it in the Revoy and it WORKED. Excellent quality as well. Also DVD and audio CD's worked plug and play. I havent't tested MP3 so far. Great Machine!!!
